I've built plenty of AK's, but I'm thinking of doing a sidefolder triangle type stock on a new AK-74 kit. Question is, can I just add the sidefolder stock/trunnion, and front latch assembly to a standard AK-74 (or AKM for a Kyber pass build), or is there any modification needed to the front trunnion. I have the AK-74 kit I want to use, in standard stock setup, so I'm hoping I can just buy the sidefolder assy and be good. Someone please let me know... |
| actually it (the hole) is drilled all the way through the trunion.I have the measurements on the receiver for the slot and hole for the side folder(74) if ya want them.the slot for the latch will be the devil to do unless you saved your used cutting wheels that are leftover to make the corner cuts.(they are smaller) and small files are essential to the squarness.it can be done..plus you have the cuts for the joint(hinge) to.. |
