| Just had a thought about it today. Has anyone tried or heard of PBlaster being used? I mean, it breaks away grease and what not and can be used as a lubricant as well. It doesn't eat away at rubber, as far as I can see it there doesn't appear to be any draw backs in using it. Plus a can of it is a couple bucks. |

Great for cleaning barrels (gets under lead) and is a good penetrant. Not a very good powder/carbon cleaner. Not bad, but there are better. And it not that great of a lube either. It stinks. I can not imagine carrying that reek with me. |

It's in my gun cleaning arsenal no doubt about it. Try it with a stiff brass brush in gummed up leaded barrel. It's the only thing I ever used that literally broke splotches of lead out.
The best thing I've been using lately is 25% Kroil mixed with 75% Hoppe's #9 - man that cuts the hardest black carbon with ease. Smells better than each alone as well. I cleaned my AK gas area for the first time with this brew. It was nasty in there!! |
