First Post here. I have recently assembled 2 rifles. While assembling the lowers I figured it would be good to keep spare detents, springs, trigger assembly, and pins for the lower assembly. Being as the uppers and BCGs came assembled already, what items would be good to keep on hand in a spare parts kit? I tried the search function but all searches I conduct here come up with no results. TIA.

I keep at least a spare LPK on hand. I also have a spare bolt. I store them in a clear plastic tackle/small parts box.

Over the years there is not much on these weapons I have not seen or heard of wearing out too soon, breaking, getting lost, or broken in an accident on somebody’s weapon.
So in my view the all-inclusive answer is a spare weapon plus numerous parts.
A spare BCG is a good starting point.
I would go for gas rings, recoil spring, etc. next.
I have at least one of almost everything I use.

Well I just put most of my spare parts into lowers 3 and 4. I went ahead and ordered the parts I needed to make a complete lower parts kit and ordered one more full parts kit. I ordered one more complete BCG than I needed so that should be on the way soon. For now I'm just waiting on a couple of upper assemblies to pin on these lowers.

I'm a parts junkie, so I have way more than I could ever use.

Bare bones spares?:

BCG or spare bolt
gas rings
cam pin
FP retainer
gas key & screws
extractor and spring

A generic lower parts kit
