Has anyone ever used Simple Green HD Pro to clean a gun.  I just bought an ultrasonic cleaner and would like to clean the parts that will fit with Simple Green HD Pro.

I've only used regular old SG and water at 1:1  and it works like a champ in a ultrasonic.  If you have the non heated unit, heat up the solution in the microwave.  The hotter the better.

Be very careful.
Regular Simply Green will attack and seriously damage aluminum, especially in an ultrasonic cleaner.
I strongly recommend testing on some anodized aluminum before trusting it on a firearm.

I am aware of some of the claims of problems with corrosion on aluminum with the standard Simple Green.  That's why I was looking at the Simple Green HD Pro.  It advertises that:

Simple Green Pro HD is a non-toxic, non-corrosive, professional grade product

and

Use Simple Green Pro HD in a general cleaning dilution on floors, painted surfaces, aluminum, stainless or polished steel, chrome, plastics, vinyl, canvas, cabinets, counters, stove tops, refrigerators, sinks, showers, tile, and more

Neither of these claims show up on the regular Simple Green.  Has anyone tired the HD Pro formula?
