So I have always seen those AR cleaning stands, the kind that you slip into the mag well. I don't want to spend any money on one because I don't know if I would like it or not. So I thought I would build one out of solid surface(Corian, Meganite etc.). I have access to free cut off material at work. I have came up on my measurements and plan but I don't like the barrel holder(its just a square plate with a half circle cut out that the barrel rest on). I saw somewhere in the forums and can't find it again to save my life. Its a little piece of plastic with a pin that goes through the top and a hole in the bottom. Then it goes to the bottom of the upper receiver, where the rear take down pin goes through, and connects to the rear take down pin and it holds the upper receiver at a downward angle. Any know what this nifty device is called? I saw a link on the forums and it lead to Midway USA, so I go to Midway and I can't find because I have know idea what its called. Thanks guys!

Are you thinking of the Dewey AR-Link Cleaning Pin? Used to join the upper and lower halves together at the takedown pin for cleaning. Available from Rock River Arms (Part# AR3591 for $15) and elsewhere.

Yes it is. Thanks man, I appreciate it. I'll post some pics of the cleaning stand when I build it.
