I took my Rock River M4 carbine out for the first time in a year, put 80 rounds through it, and brought it home for cleaning.  I used a Sinclair bore guide during maintenance and when I was finished, I couldn't get the bore guide out no matter how hard I pulled on it.  Somehow, I made the dumb mistake of leaving the charging handle in place; however, it moves back and forth freely and doesn't seem to be interfering with anything.  If anyone has any advice, I'd sure appreciate it!

Thanks,

Bob

O-ring is jammed in tight, pull Pile pull and twist. CH should have nothing to do with it, just make it harder as now you have less area to get a good purchase.

Or your solvent caused the oring to swell.

Thanks Gregory,

As the Brits would say, you were spot on re:  the o-ring that was totally dry and in need of some lubricating grease.

It helps if you do not push the bore guide in so far.

If you've got an upper receiver block, just drill a hole through it. "No stick."

And you can hold the upper in a bench vice while you clean it.
