Hey guys,
I was having feed issues with Nosler balistic tip ammo.  It appeared to be the feed ramps... the M4s were cut lower than the barrel extention leaving a flat spot that the tips were catching on.  But now I fed 100ish rounds through and was trying out a refurbed mag when it also wouldn't feed well or at all.  The bolt seems to ride over the next round instead of feeding it.  The AR has about 2000 rounds through it.  I am starting to think the gas rings on the bolt worn?  Alowing the bolt to lean forward...?  I haven't physically checked it yet but that's what I'll look at next....  what do you guys think?  It didn't drop the carrier when i put it on the table bolt down.   Hmmmm....

Sounds like you need to address the feed ramp mismatch first.

Yes this was done then the continuing feed issues.  Could some primer pieces be stuck in the bolt?  I had some primers come out of loose primer pockets on a few reloads.... that gave me a jam that I cleared.  I didn't track every primer piece out of the upper/lower.  I was going to take the bolt apart for the first time to check it today.  Instead I loaded 79 NBT and 20 Hornady SP.  I ran out of juice at that point.  I am using the Swiss precision powder SPP210.  It doesn't meter in a measure.  Hand weigh them all.

Hey guys,
I found the issue.  At the end of a clip, the bolt didn't cycle all the way back and was caught on the bolt catch by the carrier.  The real issue was gas block creep.  It was walking forward on the barrel.  Twisted a bit too.  It had gone forward about 3/32" blocking the hole somewhat.  No worries now.  Thanks for your input.
