The above products seem to be the flavor of the month when it comes to lube and advertising. Plenty of info out there on both products and as far as advertising go, both products have their own "celebrity endorsements".
I honestly feel you couldn't go wrong with either product line, but I was wondering if anyone has done any head-to-head comparisons with the above mentioned products? I've already read the Mobil1, Royal Purple, Amsoil, ATF threads and that's not what I'd like to discuss here, please reserve such comments. If you're using one of the systems in the subject line, please provide me details about your experience and why you picked the brand you did. |
| someone at m4 did an outside test with Mil-comm (both the Grease and the Oil) as well as the Slip2k EWL. EWL held up substantially better in this test. EEZOX did very close as well. I have seen at xd forums someone did a salt water test as well and EEZOX was the best. |

You gotta link to the thread/test? Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't EEZOX have chlorine esters present? MSDS I've used/use eezox oil non aresol that is rather old (camo can from 90s) tw-25b, and weaponshield, ( and a crap load of other lubes) all work rather well. I favor weaponshield clp for just about everything except my carry firearms, those get tw-25b. |

| I use slip 2000 gun lube and ewl. I chose it because a lot of people recommended it and there were great reviews for it everywhere i looked. When i first got it i smelled it to see if it would give me a headache and it didn't. When i lubed up my AR-15 BCG and racked it several times it felt very smooth. Next i went shooting and it preformed very well and stayed wet through 200 rounds. I also noticed it wasn't as dirty as before when using slip 2000. I have not used it as a cleaner so i have no info on that, but it works great as lube and that's what i will use from now on. |

| I have used slip for at least 2 yrs. I switched to it because its safe and I have children around. My boys like to clean their .22's so I needed something safe. I use the grease, oil, and cleaner. I am in love with the stuff.... I ran 600 rounds thru my DD AR using the grease without cleaning or re-lubing in between and it ran great and stayed wet. I have used it in my Glocks as well. Also note that I use decent ammo....no wolf or tula. One of the gsg's will only run with the heavy oil or frog lube. * you did not mention frog lube* another great product..... Anyway the stuff works great but, so does frog lube. |
