If you need to really clean the chamber, a mop aint gonna do it.  Use one of these and then spray it out good with solvent.

OK????  I thought you wanted to know if there was a better method, but if you really want a chamber mop then knock yourself out.  The chamber mop won't do nearly as good a job as you think it will.

See my link below. Scroll down to my chamber cleaning photo. A pistol patch or piece of rag draped over the chamber brush is all that I use. Hasn't let me down yet.

A .45 patch on a eyelet.  Just to remove the crap loosened by the chamber brush right?  Mops are only useable a couple times before being too filthy and need to be tossed.  For the price of one mop you can get a lot of patches.

I cut the tips off q-tips and put them at an angle on some forceps (hemostats). Has never let me down.
ETA- I do this AFTER I spray the chamber out with breakfree powder blast and thoroughly clean with a chamber brush.
