| I just finished cleaning my AR and I was testing the charging handle, action, etc. to ensure everything was good and assembled correctly. I tested my trigger as well and everything clicked. I did notice that after I tested the trigger the safety would not engage until after I pulled back on the charging handle and re-cocked the rifle. Is this normal operation for an AR? I never thought of this before and just wanted to be certain there isn't a problem with the rifle before I go back to the range. Thanks. |

That's what it's suppose to do and NEVER force your selector lever to safety after you uncocked the hammer as you are bound to break something when you do. Good luck. |
