Anyone use an ultrasonic cleaner for their bolts / bolt carriers / handguns?

If anyone does, what do you use for your solution?  I'd be interested in some solutions that are home made.

Vinegar and water 1:1.

Just vinegar and water?  Anyone else have anything?  I was wondering about mineral spirits?

Mineral spirits or plain cheap paint thinner will work, but IS inflammable so be careful.
For a water based cleaner, buy a big jug of something like Greased Lightning or Simply Green.
NOTE that some of these strong water based cleaners can damage aluminum.

Note that most cleaner solutions will have little to no effect on carbon fouling.  An ultrasonic cleaner will thoroughly degrease parts, but it can't remove copper fouling or most carbon fouling.

To remove carbon fouling from parts, buy a big jar of Slip 2000 Carbon Cutter and just soak the parts for 15 minutes.

Just don't use vinegar or Simple Green on any aluminum parts.
