Hey guys which Dewy rod should I get? I see they offer different thread pitch. I want to use standard cleaning accessories for Wal-Mart, Academy etc... I dont know what pitch to get.  It will be used for all of my rifles from .22 to 308.

Thanks,

I am not sure the threard pitch, however I get the standard threaded Dewey rods and then get an adaptor to fit whatever type attachment I want to put on the rod.
Go standard and get the adaptors is the best way to go.IMHO. My Dewey with a Dewey jag on it and pushing a patch is hard as heck to push thru, however it cleans the barrel
like no bodys business. I can't picture a Walmart loop or what ever even coming close to the Dewey attachments.

Here is an adaptor that just changes from male to female, however you can get adaptors to fit any almost attachment.

And by the way here are the patches I use. The pro shot patches work great and you get alot for your money with them.
I get my supplies from local gun stores, its better to get the adaptors from a store in your area or gun show, so you can try them out and see what fits what.

$5.00 for 500 patches

$2.99 for 100 patches

After you have used a Dewey awhile you will want to have all the attachments and a box to keep them in. Here is a small fishing tackle box I got at Wal-mart to keep them in.
Dewey IMHO is the best way to clean a barrel the most through.

Get a long one so you don't bash you knuckles on things.

I have a .22 and a .30.  Plan on having two.  The thin rod is too fragile for pushing a tight jag properly through larger calibers.

Yeah I figured that. I will get the .22 first and then later get the .30 as I shoot mostly 5.56 and .22
