i got a b/bcg with a barrel and i was removing the carbon on the gas side of bolt and noticed pitting on it. is this a problem were i should replace the bolt or should i not worry about it, i'm trying to build a dependable gun for training and defense. the carrier is in great condtion, staked and clean, i believed to be full auto but not 100% sure. any advice    thanks Greg

A spare bolt is a good thing.  As long as there isn't a significant amount of material lost to pitting (which I really doubt there would be) I'd oil it up and keep on it till the bolt breaks.

Pitting on the tail of the bolt is probably not a deal breaker.  If any pitting near the bolt lugs occurs, the bolt should be replaced.
