And everything was great! The rifle is in excellent shape and I'm more and more happy I bought it everyday!
However... After doing my function test, it didn't fire with the safety on, fired when off. Held trigger, charged gun, let go, clicked, pulled trigger, fired. So that's normal. The one thing I did notice though is I can turn the safety "part way" on when the gun is NOT charged. I know it is not supposed to be able to do that. The lever doesn't go all the way to safe, just slightly, and if you pull the trigger it pushes itself back to fire. However... I wasn't sure if this was normal. Do I need to replace the spring? |
| It's fine. The reason you can rotate the safety a little is because the flat spot ground in it has some clearance between itself and the trigger. In order to get no movement of the safety they'd have to machine the parts with no clearance when the hammer is down. |
| I was going to ask the same thing. I have a LMT with a M&P lower and it does that same thing.. One thing tho, my Armalite that has about 4000 rounds down it, the safety is very easy to use and from what I can remember it always has been and my M&P lower the safety really clicks and is not as easy to move? is that normal? |
