Hey, I went to clean my AR. i shot it last weekend, Havent had time to clean it yet, started too, and saw on the vortex flash hider, a blue/green like corrosion?

It was on each of the cuts, and 'blew out' with the vapors when you shoot... I didn't explain that well... but its in each of those 4 cutso n the flash hider, and around the opening of the flash hider.

I was shooting Prvi, and Wolf ammo. I think the wolf ammo has something to do with it, it had a lot of muzzle flash and i shot a bit of Prvi, and one box of wolf before, and never noticed an issue.

So, any idea what it is? and what is the best way to clean it?

Thanks.

BTW, whats the best way to clean my clips? (j/k j/k)

I'm nearly 100% sure your looking at copper  smears from your bullets. It's a non issue. All barrel will build up after time. Clean once every 500 rounds with some copper remover ( Sweets ) or Break free foaming bore cleaner and follow direction on how long you let it sit. Patch out and dry. Reapply a light CLP in barrel and your done... WarDawg

thats the method I use to clean. Except I have shooter's choice copper solvent. I was thinking it could be copper. had that color to it, but wasnt sure. I can't afford to shoot more then 100 rounds at a time, lol. I think I put 140 rounds through it max, last saturday. But thanks for the info :)

Nothing to sweat. As everyone else mentioned, just clean it out with copper solvent.

As WarDawg stated, try some BF Bore Cleaning Foam. The BCF will fill the entire FH removing the residue.
