After I get done cleaning, I generally finish up with a simple wipe down on most of the surfaces with some CLP on a soft rag.  Am I the only one that does this?  Do most of you do a wipe down with CLP or something similar to keep it moisture resistant?

I always do 1 final wipe down prior to placing it back in the safe. Just enough to lightly coat all metal parts - and I do mean "lightly".

I use a cheap 1” paint brush, lightly covered with CLP to clean the exterior of my rifles. I follow that up with a wipe down using a black t-shirt.

I always wipe down after every use.   What's another 10 seconds added to your cleaning routine?

This is the best way. Nice, even distribution. keep the brush in a tube or baggie between uses.
