| My wife and I have a soldiers contribution "program" with friends and family. We have been sending candy, soap, deoderant, baby wipes, etc for the last year. Our little buddy is coming home in November and said that he and his group are well taken care of and to stop sending stuff for the time being. We still have about $100 to spend and would like to send a shipment of quality gun cleaning supplies to a certain platoon in Iraq. I know about all the necessary gun cleaning hardware, but what would be the best CLP to send? This is also what I would like to invest in when I get my build completed. |
| If you contact Slip 2000 they will help you out a lot! They make some of the very best gun oils and cleaners to be had and they donate to the troops a bunch. I bet if you told them what you were doing and spent the $100 with them they would tripple your order for free or maybe even more......it's worth a shot! |

If you're absolutely set on sending them some type of CLP or lube, then I'd say get 'em some Weapon Shield or Slip 2000. Otherwise, I like this idea ... Quoted:
The Break Free or Royco they are issued is just fine. Better to send a few dozen shaving brushes so they can dust their weapons off frequently. |
