Your toothbrush, yes.  Your wife's toothbrush, no...

A tooth brush is perfectly fine to use on your rifle, and is actually a part of the GI cleaning kit and called out in the -10 Operators Manual.

If you are as lazy as I am, the cheap electric toothbrushes can work really well for detail cleaning. don't use your Sonicare but the cheap crest/colgate ones will do nicely.

A toothbrush is a must. I prefer the ones made for gun cleaning that have a regular size brush head on one end and a smaller/thinner brush on the other end. The freebies that I get from my dentist end up in my cleaning box as well.

Hell, I don't even know how I would clean any of my guns without a toothbrush.

There are times that QUIB posts the graphics and part numbers, before someone asks, that is the really scary part ;-).

In my case it was the ~10% Break Free CLP in mineral spirits ....

Well, I keep an eye on the recurring questions asked here. And I usually have a pretty good idea of the information that will be asked. When I edit material to post in the forums, I save it to my hard drive. That way it is readily available for the next time it is needed.

There are a lot of experienced guys who are members of this site, who truly have a desire to help. And you will soon see who you can trust for correct information, and who those are, who talk out the side of their ass.

There are no dumb questions. Regardless of experience, we were all there ourselves at one time or another.

AMEN to that.  It pays to be selective when it comes to whose advice to take and whose advice is pure bullshit and should be keeping their fingers off the keyboard.

I actually haven't use the toothbrush yet on my AR..  I seem to be able to get the bolt clean before I have the need to pull out the toothbrush..  Then again, I don't shoot 1000s or rounds before cleaning my rifle so I don't bake on too badly.
