| Called bushmaster and they said it probably got bumped in shipping....BS. Is this something I can fix or do I use the warranty and send the upper back? I also wonder if anyone has any experience with the BMAS rails. They will install them if I sent the upper back but I am concerned about quality issues. My preference would be a larue or DD. But budget is an issue right now. Saving for a KTM motorcycle. Easy fix for the handguard??? thanks dudes |

I am betting your front sight block is not straight...thus your handguard cap is canted...thus your handguards are crooked. I have a BM upper with the problem I described above. I noticed the top rail on my handguards did not line up with the flat top reciever...Upon investigation, I found the problem to be a VERY crooked FSB, which made me look closely at the FSB on the 4 other BM uppers I have. ALL 4 of them have crooked front sight bases! (although not as severely as the one I first noticed it on). Apparently crooked FSBs are an issue with Bushmaster. I will post pics of mine later Today when I have a chance. |
Whoa! Maybe that's what they plan to do to "fix" it. They shouldn't even make comments like that, especially knowing how quick news spreads on the internet. I would want to receive the replacement before I ship the defective one back! |
