Does anybody offer a sectional cleaning rod that is either coated or non-metallic? I am reluctant to use the military rod, but need something more portable than a one-piece rod.

IN my experience, the standard 3-piece brass rods don't cause any damage since they are softer than any of the metals they'll contact on the rifle.
