I was wondering if i should be lubing my lower receiver with anything more than clp? I have heard of people using heavy grease and i assume that they use it on their lowers.

I dont see any reason to use grease.CLP is plenty good enough for the lower.

I've been using tetra grease on my FCG.  I like it, it works well, but I wouldn't say it's necessary.
There's nothing wrong with just using clp.

STD ar CLP is fine. I use a touch of tw-25B on the sear and hammer, but I run a JP trigger kit.

Depends...

If you have a "Tuned Single Stage or Custom 2 stage trigger", you might want to use a grease on the hammer, trigger and disconnector bearing surfaces to preserve the surfce for as long as possible. They do wear, and they're expensive to replace.

If you;re just using a stock USGI trigger, lube the pins, trigger, hammer and disconnector bearing surfaces with CLP and you're GTG.
