Ok gurus what is the minimum usable vise size for doing AR work?

4.5 bench mount (bolts not clamp on).

I use a heavy old 6.

I have a 25lb, 5" vise with a pretty cool add on

A 4" vise can do in a pinch, but a 5" is really much better.

Even more important that vise size is how well the vise is mounted. The base must absolutely not move. Dead solid.

You cannot accurately line up the notch on a barrel nut if the works are flexing while you are trying to line it up.

Thanks for the info veryone, I picked up a 4.5 inch one at HD and will mount it to my workbench.
