What solvents are you supposed to avoid when cleaning a chrome lined barrel? Can you use Hoppes #9? Are you supposed to avoid ammonia? Thanks... |
Ammonia solvents are fine, just don't leave them in there for more than a few minutes. Hoppes #9 will work wonderfully. Quib touts BreakFree bore foam (foaming bore cleaner). I have yet to try it (i will when i need resupply), but trust his assessment of that product. Then like the above post said.............clean it like any other.
