I am the proud owner of a RRA Entry Tactictal chrome lined upper. Took it out today and fed it 200 or so rounds. I ran a wet patch of Hoppes, dry, wet dry, and checked the barrel. Clean as a whistle. Do you find a need for the wire brush for chrome lined barrels? I have an M1A and a wire brush is a must if you want it clean. What works for you?

That mirror clean bore can be decieving. If you hit it with the brush several times you will get more black crap out. You need to brush to get it truly clean.

Are you sure its a copper brush? Or maybe a BRONZE bore brush? Ammonia eats up copper fouling and brass/bronze bore brushes. If you use ammonia based solvent, you should use a good tight patch holder and patch.
PS Chrome bores are disgustingly easy to clean

I use a good nylon style bore brush. It does well anough and don't worry about it gettiung eat up. I pull a dry patch to get the copper solvent out and then a wet CLP patch. Then I use the brush with 3 passes. Then dry patch 2-3 times and then a LIGHT coat of CLP and put her in the safe. WarDawg

I use a bronze bore brush in my barrels chrome or not . I find that running a patch down the barrel with the hoppes #9 copper solvent several times letting it soak for a while works great . the extra time soaking realy loosens up the crap in the barrel . Regular hoppes works well too . Soaking is the key for me . I also have a platic contaner with regular hoppes and soak the BCG in for a good while and it makes getting the carbon out of those tough spots much easier . Hope this info is of help .
