Mine has a trap door in the buttstock. In it, I keep a small bottle of CLP and a .22 caliber boresnake. The boresnake (if you aren't familiar with it) is a long piece of cord with a weight at one end and a wire brush at the other, and is used to clean the bore of your rifle.

I have a straight, ONE PIECE cleaning rod. (Sectioned rods are suspected to damage the bore.)

I have a Tipton cleaning vise.


These are about the essentials I can come up with. BTW when using the straight cleaning rod, I use a patch wrapped around a bronze brush, instead of a cleaning jag.

I have a LOT of cleaning patches.
