I'd like to try those slotted breach swabs that are cut to fit into and between the locking lugs that I see sold on some sites but I can't figure out how they attach to the cleaning rod. Is there anyone who's used them that can tell what type of adapter I'll need to attach them? To see what I'm talking about check the CTD site Item# ARR-036.

Chamber stars go onto the bore brush, via the hole in the center.

"Screw the chamber cleaning star onto any .223 bore brush with a fixed handle cleaning rod. Spray on your bore cleaner and clean the barrel extension and lug recess."

Thanks. That answers my question. Think I'll try those.

Hey, you stole mine!

Oh, no, sorry... mine has a bit of a curve to it.   Sorry

Your Star is missing a few points.

I found Brake cleaner to do a better job than any chamber star or Q-tip will ever do. I do use a q-tip to mop up the excess brake cleaner and to re lube the area.

Nice response! I couldn’t think of anything witty at the time I posted the pic.

Same here, I use break cleaner, or now BF Powder Blast, first thing on the chamber and bore, and use the “One Pointed Star of Quib” to mop things up.
