Excuse my lack of knowing where to look!

Getting my first AR tomorrow. Have the tools & right lubes (IPSC Shooter as well), but can someone forward a link or thread on critical lube points & how much to apply?

Thanks!

Just look at the sticky at the top of this thread. Has pics and everything. Just a reminder lube the gun before you shoot it. This will help with misfires ect. So lube the bolt and all moving parts that should take care of you the first time you shoot. For more detail just check out he stickys.

The lube tips tacked thread has been removed for the time being. Bare with me for a couple days.

That info sucks.

"Lube just like it says here, except for in the desert, which is where you're going, if you're in the military"

Lightly lube the four bosses on the bolt carrier, and the face of the hammer.  That's it.  Liquid lubes tend to creep, I prefer grease.  YMMV.

Unless you are trying to prevent rust, that's a different program all together.

Really now?  Funny how every time it disappears for one reason or another it’s not long before people start requesting it get reposted.

That info is a great starting poing.

I just go buy if it moves it needs lube.

If you over lube an AR it will spit the excess out all over your shooting glasses untill the right amount of lube is left.

Or in your open mouth if you have the pleasure!

Got the RRA Coyote this evening. Disassembled the bolt & lightly lubed with FP-10 & put her back together. Buying a Mueller 8-25x varmint scope on top of the flat-top riser block & then will be in business for some test firing.
