I know this has kind of been covered already, but I have a few more specific questions.

Does the adapter that you put on the end of a male dewey rod convert it to 8/32 or 8/36?

How does the finish on the dewey rods compare to the black oxide kleen bore rods?  The kleen bore ones are quite a bit cheaper...

Are the kleen bore rods 8/32 or 8/36?  And I'm pretty sure they're female, correct?

...they really need to standardize these things...

Would it be too akward to try and clean the chamber with a chamber brush on a cleaning rod?  Or do I need to buy a seperate chamber rod?  And are mops really necessary?  And lastly...does anyone sell the aforementioned rods cheaper than buying them directly from the manufacturer?

Sorry if that's too many questions for one post.

Thanks.

depends on which one you order.

Dewey adpaters

unknown on cheaper, but bushmaster sells all the dewey items you need to clean a AR.

mops as is 22 cals bore mops. I dont use them a patch with 3 to 4 drops of oil works better imhop.

yes it would be akward to clean the chamber with 20 inches of rod hanging out.

Spend the 20 bucks and get a USGI kit that makes the job easy.

I bought all my Dewey stuff from Sinclair International. Brownells also sells them. Can't remember if the adapter is 8/32 or 8/36?
