To the users of this product, would you mind taking a minute or so and letting me know that you use it. I've been a Glocktalk member for several years and remember seeing a post there a year or so ago about the product. It said that many of the folks on ar15.com used it and really loved the results. Well, I can't seem to find "all of those people," and after less than satisfactory results using it myself I'm strongly considering going back to Eezox. The only problem is that Eezox is twice as expensive. Please satisfy my curiosity and let me know if you use it and what you've seen, good or bad. Thank you in advance.                             Guy

I could be wrong but I remember reading on here that it is very toxic.

According to their Site, it contains tetrachloroethylene.  They have an info Page on the stuff.

Eezox contains Trichloroethylene which is not the most people friendly chemical either.  Their MSDS indicates it's down sides.

Most of the reviews of this product have been mixed.  I can't recall anyone that though it was fantastic.  From what I have seen on their website (I've never used it), it appears to be much like Eezox.  Eezox has had much better reviews (including from me).

Since I've never used the product, may I ask what you did not like about Strike-Hold?  How is the smell/drying time compared to Eezox?

Strike Hold doesn't smell as well as Eezox, but Strike Hold dries quicker. One will use nearly twice as much Strike Hold trying to get the same "coating" affect as Eezox though as S.H. seems to vanish. It also doesn't last very long. On things like squeaking door hinges it needs to be reapplied every 2-3 days whereas Eezox will last for weeks, if not months. Strike Hold freezes on padlocks, Eezox doesn't. About the only thing S.H. has over Eezox is the price, $10.95/can vs. $23.25/can for Eezox, however, the "16oz. cans" listed on S.H.'s website are really only 13oz. No matter what the cost difference, if S.H. doesn't work very well it's still not very cost efficient. Finally, there's also the annoying S.H. website...

Sounds like the higher price of Eezox is worth it.

I have to agree.  Thanks for the review and comments.
