Im about half way down on a 4oz bottle of clp and there has been little white chunks of stuff coming out.  It also clogs the straw up.  I always shake it about a min. before using.  Is it the teflon or what ever is in it or do I have some old bad stuff?

I've had that occur, too. It seemed to be teflon particles that somehow stuck together.  I stopped using the straw and poured some into another container where I broke up the particles with a small stick.  I used the stick as a dropper to apply the lubricatant.

How old is your CLP???

The stuff I bought doesn't have white stuff in it period and had stuff about the 2004? Summer olympics in Greece on the label.

I've had some old stuff on the shelf for a while and way back when someone somewhere suggested putting a couple small nuts in the bottle to help agitate when shaking. I've never had a problem since.

Well I dumped the clp into a bucket and theres some 1/4" chunks....  I tried putting bbs in there to mix it up but dont think its gonna break the chunks up.  Im not for sure how old it is...  Ive probably had it for a year but who knows how long it has sit on the gun shops shelf.  Im gonna pour it in a plastic bag and try to break em up by hand..

When you first buy a bottle, put the BBs in it and shakke it up every time you use it. What you got now is probably unusable.

Would heating the oil up melt the teflon?  If so how would I go about heating it?

Don't bother. When CLP sits, the different elements separate. If you don't shake it up before you use it, you just use up most of the element that floats to the top. Basically, you've drained off most of the element(s) that rise to the top whe it separates. You're left with essentially the teflon element.

Actually, I drop a spent .45 acp case in mine or if it's a small bottle a spent 9mm case.

ETA: 3-5 BBs should be plenty.

Must be some old stuff - they stopped putting teflon in there a while back.

I have two of the older bottles, I tossed in a .22 shell in each one, stirs things up nicely

Yea..i got a couple of stianless steel ball bearings and dropped them in.. I use to forget to shake the bottle.. but now that the bearings are in there.. i sorta enjoy givign it a rattle

I added ball bearings to all my CLP bottles.. even the tiny ones..

That's strange, I'm just finishing one of the bottles I've had for 7 - 8 years, it all flows fine .... no residue at the bottom.  Didn't think this stuff had a 'shelf life' .... bad batch???
