How do you change them and when? Is it something I can do? Any other things you could think of would be great? Thanks Icon |

Photos Compliments of Colt Canada. They have an excellent maintenance manual you can download here: TECHNICAL PUBLICATIONS SECTION Gas rings should last quite a while unless you see obvious damage. A quick check for serviceability it to insert the bolt into the carrier, flip the carrier up side down and watch to see that the gas rings hold the bolt in place. If they can not hold the bolt inside the carrier then you might want to replace them.
