I have used this forum's many resources to learn how to field strip and clean my rifle, but I am not sure how to and where to lube my parts. I have Hoppes Gun Oil that I can distribute in drops, and I also have Birchwood Casey aerosol spray Gun Oil. Any help is appreciated, pictures are better. Thanks/ |
Don't use Hoppes oil. It is just mineral oil and does not even come close to meeting the AR-15's oil requirments. Use Breakfree CLP, Mil-Comm TW25B, SLIP 2000 ect. Hoppes oil is horrible for guns...burns off very fast and parts will wear faster. |
