I have seen some of the products listed on here for "Spraying" and coating of complete parts. I tried a search, and couldn't come up with anything for "touch ups"...I'm pretty sure I saw a post a while ago mentioning a specific product thats awesome for touch ups of nicks, scratches etc of outer surfaces (upper, lower etc.) I understood it makes a great "match" of the original color/surface. Any help here guys? THANKS MUCH!! |

There's Alumna-Hyde spray from Brownells, and Aluminum Black, from Birchwood Casey. Birchwood Casey also makes a touch-up pen, which is great for taking care of nicks or scratches while in the field. |

be careful with that alumi-black. don't contaminate the bottle with any aluminum or you'll get all sorts of nice blue copper crystals everywhere. You'll also get some nice black by-products floating around and don't use any other metals or let them get into the alumi-black. it's mostly a copper and sulfer solution and it seems very willing to break down and reattach the copper and sulfur molecules to other metals. |
