Did you try to force a .30 cal patch in there, or double up on the .22 patches? Unscrew the rod from the patch jag, close up the rifle, put it on the ground butt first, and try whapping it out with an old rod, dowel, or other long object from the muzzle end. You can get an aluminum rod from a hardware store that just barely fits into the bore. Centerpunch one end of the rod and dimple the exact center with a drill bit. That will keep the end centered on the tip of the jag, and that should work without scratching up your bore. One nice firm whack should get it out. |
