Stopped by Gander Mtn to check it out, and they had a whole display of Hoppes Elite products, solvent gun cleaner, bore paste....  They claimed faster, better cleaning...Etc...

I've never seen this stuff before.  Anyone have any experience?

It is Mpro7 under the Hoppes name. Thay have a deal together. Pentahlon or something like that makes the chemicals for them.

What timing!  I just came back from Bass Pro Shops with some spray cleaner and oil that is Hoppes Elite.  Smells kinda funny to me.  Will try it out tomorrow and post my opinion.

I' ve been using it for a while now and I love it...   I've even treated the outdoor pad locks several months ago (they were rusted and the lock was unworkable), and they're still rust free and well lubed even thought the key holes face upwards when locked.  It doesn't cause the wonderful head aches, and doesn't dry my hands out after using...

I agree, this is great stuff.  It eats through carbon like nothing else.  It has really shortened my gun cleaning sessions.

Thanks for the info!  Guess I have to try some.  I WILL miss the famous #9 headaches too.

It is great stuff. Just don't get it on wood as it will quickly strip the finish!!!

I got some of this stuff today as a stocking stuffer, and it works wonders compared to #9. Great stuff indeed.

I bought some of that stuff about 2 weeks ago and used it on my S&W 500.  Had no complaints at all.  I would buy it again.

It's soap and water, be sure to lube after cleaning.

So you guys are saying it cleans better than Hoppe's #9?  How much is it at BP?

I payed $12.99 for an 8 ounce bottle and that was at Gander Mountain.

It is not soap and water.  It cleans way better then Hoppes on carbon but does not do much for metal fouling. It is very effective used in combo with a copper solvent.

What is it then?  It was used to clean F-16's, and it's obvious it contains water.

I use different cleaners depending on what needs to be done and how bad is it. I always use clp after to clean up the other stuff and leave it protected.
