This has always confused me. You have (in essence) a bore brush with larger bristles at the end, for scraping the chamber, correct? Well, if you insert the chamber brush into the chamber, you have about a inch and a half of phosphour (sp?) bristles in the barrel, which will have to be reversed for the brushes extraction ,correct? Doesn't this go against everything we are taught about "never reverse a brushes direction in the bore"? Request enlightenment.

The bore brush portion is just a little smaller in size than a normal bore brush. You don't push the chamber brush in, you screw it in. Insert the brush with a clockwise turning motion and remove it with the same motion. No harm done to the bore doing it this way. MadDog hippie.gif |

Changing direction with a bore brush in the barrel won't harm a barrel. Think about it, steel or chrome is much, much harder than brass. Changing direction with a brush in a barrel is a good way to get it stuck in the barrel or destroy the brush, however. Hmm, on second thought maybe I read more into your post that I should have. Anyway, maddogdan steared you right as far as how to get the brush in and out of the chamber. |
