I was cleaning up a 1903a3 yesterday with my new found maintenance helper fp-10.  I did a complete strip down and found a whole bunch of very old cosmoline under the butt plate.  I squireted some fp-10 on there and brushed it in with a toothbrush.  I couldn't believe my eyes but the cosmoline actually started to come right off.  I finished as usual by wiping it all dry with a shop towel.  I tried again on an sks that had cosmo lurking here and there and it worked great.  It seems to get under the cosmo, loosen it up and float it off.  Great stuff, with a new use I had not expected.

I've been using FP-10 CLP for a year or more now. I will never go back to BreakFree.

what's the difference between FP10 CLP and Breakfree CLP???  Are they both MilSpec CLP?  I'm using BF CLP right now but if there's something better I'd like to give it a shot.

I'm not a chemical engineer so I'm not sure of the exact difference.  But I have used more breakfree than I care to remember and it is not even in the same league as fp-10 in my opinion.  Check this site out for engineering type stuff www.fp10.com

I used to use Breakfree exclusively, but when they changed their formula to smell like syphillis infected chinese cat piss, I had to switch.  Found FP-10 and have never looked back.

Hah...  That's another little bonus, FP-10 actually smells good.
