Anyone recommend a good size for a cleaning mat/pad for my AR15? I have seen a few at various local gun shops, but I really think they are too small. A friend of the family is a master sewer/seamstress, and she said she has some good heavy duty felt material and would be able to stitch in an underpad consisting of non-skid rubber. I ordered a RRA Preban/LE M4 Tactical Entry with the RRA 6 Position Stock, and I am slowly buying accessories for when it gets delivered. |
| I looked around a long time trying to find a cleaning mat that was large enough to cover an area on my work bench with no luck. Until I went into home depot and found what some call a "floor runner". Basically, it's a rubber mat that is 27 in. wide and comes on a roll at Home Depot, and they cut it to whatever length you want. I have had it on my bench for two years and it has worked well, easy to clean up and inexpensive. You can find it in the flooring section. |
