While mounting a laser to see what it looks like on my Bushmaster, I made a couple of small "hairline" scratches on the barrel.  I noticed the barrel has a bunch of ridges and not smooth like some.  What can I do to touch up those scratch marks or any I may get in the future? Thanks!

I know this is gonna sound cheap, but it is cheap....
I use a black permanent marker, like a Sharpie brand.

Hmmm... I'll have to try that one too. I just bought my 20" Bushy A2 on Saturday and was cleaning it yesterday when I let the upper that was leaning against something fall over. Got some scratches on mine too. Not too happy with myself for that.
