OK - I feel kinda silly for asking this, but the book for my new Bushy suggests using a black rag for cleaning the receiver in order to avoid speckling it with either white ir red lint from a "conventional" cleaning rag. Anybody actually follow this advice, and if so, where does one find black cleaning rags?

An old concert t-shirt that shoud have been retired around 1987 will ususally do the trick.  [:)]

Just go to Wallyword, in the fabric section and buy as much black cotton material as you need.

edited to say: Wash the material before you use it.Some dies tend to bleed with solvents and lubes.

Red-Leg (and s0ulzer0): I thought of that, but don't have any old concert tour shirts left - and damned if I'm gonna sacrifice my treasured Mackie 'T' to the cause :-)

thinman: DOH! That one's so obvious - probably why I didn't think of it myself :-)

Thanks for the input, guys. Looking forward to having a speckle-free Bushy.

Worn out, black cotton dress socks.  They work well for applying tire dressing, dash treatment etc. as well.
