I've had this thing for about 2 months now. Been using my GI Rod and my jag/brush from my pistol.

I would like to use something better because the GI rod rattles around in that 9mm barrel
and I don't want to scratch it up.

Do they make a rifle length 9mm rod?

Use a rifle cleaning rod for a 30 caliber rifle.  That should do the trick for you, as 9mm is .354-.356 in diameter.
