I finally got to shoot my new 300BLK with a Rainier select 10.5" barrel and Dead Air Sandman-S today.  Everything went well until I picked up my brass at the range and noticed some dents on the cases.  When I first saw them I thought "great, I have a burr in the chamber", but after looking at some more cases I noticed the dent isn't quite on the same spot on all the casings as I would expect from a burr.  All rounds were fired suppressed if that helps identify the marks.

The rifle functioned great, but I was looking to save my brass for reloading eventually.  I'm not sure if dents like this will compromise the cases.

There's a pic below.  Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this?  I've never seen this type of dent in any of my other ARs.

The suppressor is gassing up the gun and causing hard ejection.  Those dings are from the brass bouncing off the brass deflector.  Not unusual but if you want to slow things down run a heavier buffer and spring or look into some other gas adjustable option like the GemTech adjustable bolt carrier.

Awesome - that helps a ton!  I guess I'm off to check out some heavier buffers/adjustable gas doodads

Yep....mid case dents like those usually means overgassed. I bet your brass is getting thrown forward.
