Just noticed this today on my LMT 16in barrel. The rim of the barrel has a chip (star shape about 10'oclock). Should I be concerned about this? Do you think it's still safe to fire? Also, what could have caused this?

It is a tad difficult to see the extent of the damage in the picture, so it's hard to say how bad it could be. The main question is the second one that you asked: How did this happen? Was it there before you got your hands on it, or is it new damage?
Best case scenario would be to call LMT and ask them to check it out. Maybe they have superior customer service and will replace it without question? |
