I saw a post about a month ago where Dano523 was describing the proper way to time the disconnector.  In that post he stated that the hook on the hammer should come within a hairs diameter of the disconnector sear when the hammer is pulled back without the trigger being depressed.  Obviously when the hammer comes back while the trigger is pulled the disconnector must catch the tigger hook and hold it until reset.  My question is if the hammer hook lightly contacts the disconnector sear when the hammer is being pulled back without the trigger being pulled is that a problem?

I have done the sear polish/set screw trigger job described in the build it yourself section.  The results are quite nice but the slight change in trigger position from the set screw causes the light contact between the trigger hook and disconnector sear.  If that is not a problem I will leave it.  If not will someone please direct me to Dano523's post about disconnector timing.  It would be nice if Dano523's disconnector timing instructions could be made a sticky.

Light kiss contact of the disco hook sear to the back of the hammer sear is not a problem with the trigger untouched and the hammer cocked back.
The hammer spring has more than enough tension to pull the hammer rear sear past the light kiss of disco sear (disco is spring loaded to allow the slip past of the two as well), and in short amount of time as things settle/wear in, the gap will end up growing anyways.

If the kiss is more of a hold/bind of the two together as you slowly release the hammer, then just take a stone to disco hook sear front edge to set it back  for the desired .001" to .004" free gap of the two.

Thanks Dano, that is exactly what I needed.  I was concerned about part wear but when I thought it out and thought about how much contact the disco has when the trigger is back that did not make sense.  I will put up my worry beads now.
