| so I recently acquired a used pri gas buster when I pull the latch it makes a gritty noise and takes force to get all the way to the rear is it possible that this area rusted or is this more than likely a spring issue |

There is a pin that holds the lever in place. If compressed air doesn't blow all the grit out you may have to remove the pin to disassemble the lever and spring to fix the problem. The spring is under pressure so be careful or you'll send it flying. Once disassembled you should be able to identify what's wrong by rub/wear marks.
Plan B - Send the charging handle to PRI for repairs if this is more than you wish to tackle. |
