I ran 110 rounds through a new build this morning.  The first 2 mags, the trigger didn't fully reset 3 times.   I had to push it forward with my finger.  It started running fine after that.  What's up with that?

Trigger or hammer springs could be installed wrong...its easy to overlook that.  There might be something under the trigger keeping it from moving as well.  Hope this helps!

Everything looks to installed correctly.  I just don't understand why it started running right after a couple mags.

Could have needed a break in real good...could depend on the ammo, whether it was factory or reloaded ammo.  If it's running fine now, I'd leave it alone and shoot the heck out of it....if you can afford the ammo nowadays!

Various factory ammo.  Some was old Guatemalan surplus.

Lack of lube on the FCG and pins before installing it/lack of checking for burs on the FCG before installing it; with the live fire removing the burs as the trigger was working/ the lube migrated into the FCG voids to solve the problem.

I had this on a Psa parts kit. I took sandpaper and grease to the sears and it runs fine now. I heard of other Psa kits having the same issue.

I always do a "fire, safety engage, disconnector catch" check on every firearm after assembly, whether it's a new build, or after a cleaning. This ritual will often catch misaligned parts/problems/etc.
