hi, i put on a new tapco stock on my ar and i tightened the castle nut, but now when i chamber a round it kinda gets stuck backwards and then suddenly slams forward, causing FTF...
but if i tighten the castle nut a little loose the action on the gun is smooth, im worried that the castle nut may get more loose while firing the weapon, why is it when i tighten the castle nut the action is almost jammed in rearward position?

Just a guess but,
It is apparently warping something as it tightens.  Is everything lined up nice and square and everything centered before tightening?
Be sure there is no foreign matter under the nut or anything else.

How about the take down pin spring or the dimple on the plate?

When you tighten the nut, it is pulling the tube out of axis with the carrier bore. The BCG is binding as a result. When you loosen the nut, it allows enough free play that the BCG can still cycle. My bet is that the threads on the Tapco tube are machined slightly off, or either the tube fits too loose once screwed in due to it being undersized.

Can you access better parts?  It's certainly a problem with the Tapco stuff.
