right now ith my colt lower I added a bad ass and it feels gritty and harder to rotate, even the stock one had some tightness.

is there a way to make it rotate more smoothly without effecting stability

Pull the selector and grease the shaft of it where it rides in the lower receiver channle so it will mate in/ glide against the anodizing now.

Dull the end of the selector detent pin so it mates with the selector detents and grooves more cleanly instead of the sharp pin just dragging down the middle of the channel/ taper section of the pin not tight against the angle sides of the detents on engaugment.
Note, the tip of the pin normally wears in/mates by itself, but we are fitting so we don't have to wait for this to happen.

Double check the pistol grip detent spring channel to make sure that is not too shallow, and causing the spring to coil bind up like is sounds that it is doing now to cause most of the gritty feeling anyways.

I switched over to stainless detents from battle arm developments, lubed real well and they are quite a bit smoother action  than stock

Please contact  Battlearms development.  Depending when that was made they had some cylinders that wernt machined correctly.  I had one that was not working properly and BAD made it right.  All my AR's have one on them now because its a great product but most of all the customer service when something isnt right.
