I've been having FTE issues lately, and i checked the gas key on the BCG and it is staked and seems tight, but i did notice that there is a slight side to side movement on my gas block. (stock DPMS with rail on top, set screw type) the movement is very slight, but still there none the less. Would this cause enough gas pressure loss? if so, how do i make sure that the gas block is lined up correctly before i tighten the set screws?

Mark the barrel shoulder with a pencil dead center of gas tube, which will give you an index mark when you reinstall the gas block, using Red loctite on the set screws.
Note, to loosen the set screws, you should have to transfer heat to the set screws with a torch via an old allen wrench in set screws to break the old red loctite tight bond.

Also, after reinstalling the gas block, use the carrier/key without bolt in the upper receiver to confirm the index of the key to gas tube is correct (or tweak the gas tube to correct the index).
