I just installed a RR single stage LPK and took it out for a test fire. I have a Larue Upper. It fires one round, chambers another but won't fire it. I have to cycle the charging handle to rest everything. Any ideas?

Thanks

Are you sure the disconnector and or spring is installed? Or installed correctly? Large coil end should be down.

I am going to double check. Right now it is failing the functions check. When I fire, hold the trigger and cycle the bolt there is no click......

Try function checking with only the lower.  Just make sure you take your thumb to bring down the hammer.  Don't want to crack your lower receiver.  That way you can see things.

Ok....when holding the trigger and cocking the hammer I had to give the trigger a little push to get the click. I did that few times and now it works fine on it own and passes the functions check...

Just test fired and the trigger reset but is still tight and sometimes I needed to force it. It seems as if it is just tight. Does that make any sense?

sounds like something in the trigger is binding. Are your hammer/trigger springs installed correctly?

lubed?

Parts lubed before you install them?

With the FCG back out, dry fit the trigger pin to the trigger to check for C side channel burs that will not allow the pin to free rotate in the trigger channel. Then run your finger nail down the back hammer sear, and the disco sear to check for edge burs as well.  If burs are found, remove them. Also take a look at the pistol grip bolt to make sure that the top threads of it are not protruding into the bottom of the lower receiver void.

Disconnector spring gets installed large coil side down into the back trigger slot (have to press it in), under the disco tail.

Lastly, when you have the FCG reinstalled well lubed (including the pins that their channels), confirm that the tail of the hammer is not binding up on the U slot of the selector, and the sides of the hammer C sections are not binding up on the sides of the lower receiver void (trigger side legs too wide for the lower receiver.

Dano--

I caught a couple of things I need to do different. I lubed everything after it was installed and prior to firing. Also, the disconnector spring is installed incorrectly.

Thanks for the input...

Well,

Also when you install the disconnector spring...make sure it seats all the way...you sometimes have to rotate the spring to get it to seat in the trigger...

Turn it in the direction of compressing the spring...

I've seen more than one not seated. And gets crooked and causes the spring to bind on the disconnector...
